Short Description:  Manage and develop front of house volunteer programmes and volunteers in our Visitor Services teams at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.  

Long Description:Tate aims to increase public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of British art from the 16th century to the present day and of international modern and contemporary art.   We are keen to engage a more diverse range of people in Tate’s work and believe that developing and adding to our existing voluntary programmes will provide greater opportunities for this. You’ll join us to increase volunteer participation at both our London galleries, creating and developing new front of house voluntary roles as well as building on the success of our existing volunteer programmes. In addition you’ll also work with HR and other stakeholders to develop processes and policies to promote, develop and manage volunteering Tate-wide. It’s likely that you’ll join us from a similar role, bringing previous experience of volunteer management, which will include setting up and developing programmes. An experienced manager with a solutions-focused, proactive approach, you’re at your best inspiring a team to deliver outstanding customer service. We’ll also look for excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach and commitment to diversity.
