Volunteer Coordinator - YMCA West London (closing date 17th October)£25,000 per annum – permanent post, full-time At West London YMCA we are striving to develop services and programmes that benefit children and young people across West London. Volunteers are essential to our work. Your role will be to ensure our volunteer programme continues to operate and develop successfully, and that the contribution volunteers make to the organisation is recognised and celebrated. You will identify development opportunities for the programme and cultivate new streams of funding to support the programme. Essential to this role is the ability to work in partnership with managers and colleagues to create meaningful voluntary opportunities, to ensure our volunteer programmes run smoothly and to liaise with support agencies to promote joined-up working.
To succeed, you’ll have a successful track record managing a voluntary programme. Educated to degree level or with equivalent skills, you’ll fully appreciate what volunteering means and what volunteers need. An excellent project manager and communicator, you’ll be able to communicate effectively with volunteers, professionals and members of the public and work well under pressure.
