Volunteer Co-ordinator - The Stroke Association (closing date 18th September 2008)

35 hours per week (based in Southampton)

(Fixed term until 30 September 2009, further funding is currently being sought)

You will be responsible for the ongoing development of volunteering across the South of England. You will be part of a dedicated team promoting and supporting our volunteers, reporting directly to the Director of Operations, South of England.

We are two years into a three year project (further funding is being sought) and our aim is to increase our volunteers by 10% each year until 2010. With this in mind your core responsibility is to facilitate and encourage current staff with effective volunteer recruitment and best practice in volunteer support.

You will have experience of the recruitment and management of volunteers and you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your experience in influencing staff and volunteers coupled with your ability to be flexible at all times will make you an excellent candidate for this role.
