The Environmental Volunteer Managers Project is funded by the Scottish Government and was initiated in June 2007 to deliver a new and widely recognised framework that supports the management of Volunteers in the Environmental Voluntary Sector. The Project is managed by BTCV Scotland with a Steering Group from the Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity (FEVA).
This is a senior development position hosted by BTCV Scotland which will deliver a Strategic review of the capacity that exists within the Environmental Voluntary Sector in Scotland, make recommendations and importantly, create, real, tangible and sustainable actions that deliver a high quality of volunteering experiences.
he successful candidate will have a comprehensive and practical knowledge of the issues that influence the delivery of environmental volunteering. The post-holder will also need to be fully conversant with the social benefits that accrue through environmental volunteering and be able to develop volunteer management to ensure that volunteers are attracted to the environment in order to gain a range of personal development. The post is currently funded for a period of 3 years.
