Trustee Sought with Volunteer Management expertise

Cleanup UK is seeking new trustees, and in particular we are looking for someone with expertise in volunteering - attracting, recruiting and managing volunteers and managing dispersed volunteer groups.

CleanupUk was founded in 2007.  We are passionate about tackling the UK litter problem through the power of volunteers by

• supporting the development of volunteer litter groups throughout the UK
• enabling these groups to develop relationships with their local schools to educate the young not to drop litter in the first place.

Our vision is for there to be a volunteer litter group in every UK community, keeping their neighbourhood clean.  We believe that in addition to cleaner neighbourhoods, this will contribute to a stronger sense of community and help prevent crime.

The Trustees meet formally three times a year, usually in London, but communicate regularly by email and phone.
