BUNAC has formed a consortium with Christian Aid and Islamic Relief to operate a new DfID-funded international youth volunteering programme. Is it looking for a Senior Coordinator, reporting to the Programme Manager, to manage a team of two staff to handle all administrative and logistical aspects of the programme and to work with the Programme Manager on programme scope and planning. The programme will send 2,500 short term volunteers overseas over 3 years. This post is a 3-year fixed-term employment contract. The role will be required to fulfil a broad range of functions including managing the screening of applications; organising volunteer interviews; handling all incoming calls and correspondence; writing and developing website and brochure content; managing the process of flight booking and insurance purchase; liaising with in-country partners on development of volunteer projects; visiting project locations for monitoring, evaluation and risk assessments purposes.
