Report format on Volunteering outcomes

Hi

I am currently involved in co-managing a new volunteer coordinator, who has been tasked to manage a volunteering pilot project in our North-West region for one year. The areas I am specifically looking at is around best practice on how we manage volunteers and effective support staff who manage & supervise volunteers. I am also looking at best practice around legal compliance, training & development, developing appropriate task roles, and analysing the cost benefit of volunteers to the organisation. I have been asked to work with the post holder on a quarterly evaluation/progress report, to track the success of the project in theses areas. At the end of the project in March 2012, we are hoping this will serve as a learning tool and inform the development of a consistent volunteering function to support all of Shelter's housing services.

I wonder if anyone has any examples of reporting and evaluation templates to share to help capture the key issues as part of a quarterly progress report?

My role & expertise is in the area of Equality, Diversity and service user involvement, and community engagement, so I am willing to share skills in these areas.
