Plans for AVM and the website![]() Hi there all, As you might have already picked up from a brief visit to this website, we're in our infancy. In other words, we have our whole life ahead of us! Which route we decide to go and how we get there is something we'll only really achieve to the satisfaction of members, is if we all have an opportunity to get involved. This forum is meant to make this process more transparent. We'd like to describe the things we'd like to do with this website and with AVM in general. May be you have a new idea for a great resource on AVM. Or may be there's a piece of functionality you'd like to see appear here. Whatever it is- we'd like to talk about it. Likewise, if there's anything you'd like to comment on about what we're currently offering- we'd like to hear your views. All the best. |

Hi there Trevor,
Thanks for the birthday wishes! We're in the process of redesigning this website based on what we've seen is popular and has got people's interest and what hasn't. It would be great to have this discussion and develop these ideas further.
Personally, I think we need to slim down the site and make it much more user friendly. We really need to rethink it's functionality and resources. We'd like to develop the discussion opportunities and tie this in more with the wiki which can potentially further ground and extend the debates we're having about issues important to volunteer managers.
We've also managed to get a little bit of money to invest in developing the website to improve the overall user experience which at the moment is not good enough. We'd like to make sure the site's speedier and more browser compatible. It would be great to get your thoughts.
Speak soon,
Patrick
