Hi my name is Judith, and I am company secretary for a registered charity here in Wigan, but also Volunteer Co-ordinator as have have just launched our own Volunteer Scheme along with opening the last phases of our major project here. We now have a community cafe, information centre and training rooms, as well as internet facilities and a Plus 1 Home to Home for excluded children. We have a marvellous project manager on the payroll as well as paid cafe staff but we also have marvellous volunteers and it is up to me to make this scheme grow. It is an exciting challenge but very daunting which is why I have joined here as any advice and help etc will be gratefully received!! It is a bit like stepping into the wide unknown!!
