A series of essential regional one-day conferences are taking place in January and February for everyone who wants to be at the forefront of volunteering developments and help pave the way to the 'Big Society'.
The agenda is informed by cutting edge findings in four priority areas: faith-based volunteering, new forms of volunteer involvement, overcoming barriers to volunteering and skills-based employer supported volunteering.
The conferences will enable you to:
- Hear about the Big Society and its implications from government and senior figures within the volunteer movement.
- Engage in practical workshops which will give you the knowledge and skills you need to modernise volunteering in your organisation.
- Learn from beneficiaries who will tell you how modernising volunteering has worked for them.
