Youth Volunteer Advisor - Inspiring People, Changing Communities

£20k per annum

FOCUS is looking for a new person to join its staff team in Leicester. We require a Youth Volunteer Advisor to work in our vteam to create high quality volunteering opportunities for young people and inspire a new generation of volunteers!

* You will raise awareness amongst diverse groups of 16-25 year olds of the benefits of volunteering and broker them into a wide range of opportunities.

* You will promote youth led projects and support organisations to facilitate youth-led approaches to volunteering.

* You will support a Youth Action Team, a group of 16-25 year olds who will provide positive peer influence, inspire young people to volunteer and develop their own projects in response to local issues.

Candidates should have experience working with young people, which may include facilitating youth led projects, mentoring, advice and guidance.

You may have knowledge of the needs, policies and legislation affecting volunteers and experience of accrediting young people's learning and celebrating their achievements.

Contract duration: one year. Up to 3 years subject to confirmation of funding.
