Brooklands Museum currently has a vacancy for a Volunteer Resources Manager. We are an independent charitable trust that receives approximately 110,000 visitors every year. The museum covers the motoring and aviation history of the site including the technological achievements of the last 103 years and has the only Concorde on public display in the South East. There is a staff of approximately 24 (full time equivalent) and the Museum is heavily reliant on approximately 400 active volunteers, who act as stewards, work in project teams on restoration and also help with administrative tasks.
The Volunteer Resources Manager looks after the recruitment and deployment of volunteers to assist in the efficient running of the Museum. This includes daily rosters, induction of new volunteers, ensuring that appropriate training is given, maintaining the volunteer database and generally acting as a liaison between staff and volunteers.
Salary c£20,000. Experience in HR or managing volunteers essential.
