This leading not for profit organisation representing the interests of thousands of professional members throughout the world now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and capable Manager to join them as a Volunteer Resource Manager.
This is a new post for the organisation and will be based within the Human Resources team in which the post holder will lead a team of two and play a key role in working with the Head of HR to define and deliver the organisation's people strategy.
A key focus for the post holder will be to develop and maintain appropriate systems for the recruitment, retention and development of volunteer members who give their time to the organisation.
You will also be managing the delivery of HR services, with specific responsibility for recruitment and learning & development to staff across the organisation.
This role requires a CIPD or equivalently qualified HR professional with a strong background in generalist HR & development activities, ideally gained in a similar membership or volunteer-focused environment.
Excellent motivational and team leadership/ management skills together with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to, and an awareness of, diversity issues are also required.
