Employee Volunteering - does demand meet capacity?

There is growing evidence from charities and voluntary groups across the country that we are seeing a marked increase in the level of enquiries from companies and other employers looking for employee volunteering opportunities.

Red Foundation (through our Corporate Community Involvement division) wants to find out more about these increased levels of demand and the extent to which the expectations and capacity of employers matches those of brokers and volunteer involving organisations. We have therefore launched a survey that will be exploring this with both employers and charities/voluntary groups.

The survey is aimed at company staff, HR managers and third sector volunteer managers/brokers, it only take a few minutes to complete and your input will be much appreciated - please feel free to pass this on to your colleagues and contacts.

Plus today we have posted a new blog entry calling for charities and companies to move past the ‘challenge culture' of employer supported volunteering opportunities. Link to Thoughts Red is available here http://thoughtsred.blogspot.com

Best wishes and many thanks for your help,
