Hi everyone
Firstly I'd like to say hello to everyone. I'm new to this site today after starting my new role as a full time Volunteer Coordinator this week.
What I'd like to ask is....does anyone know of good (free) places to advertise volunteer vacancies within the greater London area? I'm open to all idea, print or digital. So far I've thought of placing ads in the Metro and London Evening Standard but I'm unsure if this is free(?). I've placed an advert on the Team London website which has been very successful and of course our own website (http://www.cri.org.uk/london+and+eastern/opportunities), but could anyone recommend places I could use?
I would appreciate any help as I'm desperate to start a huge recruitment drive.
Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any info/questions at carrera-leigh.spence@cri.org.uk
Thanks all!
Carrera-Leigh
Free advertising in London
Hi Carrera-Leigh,
Welcome to the AVM. There are quite a few places you can advertise Volunteer opportunities free in London but the two I mainly use are The Guardian Online (020 3353 3400) - tell then you're from a Charity and you'd like to set up an account and post some free Volunteer vacancies - this is a must for advertising. You can also contact the Metro & ES at 020 7341 8396 - they offer space where they have space so you can't book an ad with them, but they are generally really good at supporting Volunteer vacancies and the response rate is really usually very good as ads will appear in both the Metro & ES - perfect target market for London.
Charity Job often have free Volunteer advert space as do certain recruitment agencies in London if you enquire.
Best of luck with your recruitment campaigns!!
