Accreditation for Volunteers

By Anonymous - Posted on 19 October 2009

A comprehensive suite of QCF qualifications at levels 1 to 3 are now available. These include 2 credit Awards for Volunteering at an Event, as well as generic 8 and 13 credit Community volunteering qualifications which can cover a wide range of voluntary activities. The qualifications offer a flexible variety of units, with resources. Introductory workshops and in house training is available.

Community Involvement and Volunteering Award (CIVA) accredits up to 60 hours of Community Involvement and Volunteering activity. Divided into six Modules - Starting Out; Planning and Preparation; Taking Part; Meetings; Issues and Needs; Personal Development - it is relevant for all people engaged in voluntary activity within their own community, school, college or youth centre.

Offering a flexible, multi-level programme aimed primarily at 13-19 year olds, this Award provides a certificate of achievement and progression into nationally recognised Awards and Qualifications.
